Loved working on this! Haven't done a real watercolor in so long that I almost cried at the delight of watching the paint run all over and do it's watercolor-ey thing!
To top that it's actually acrylic and it's cradled so it's ready to hang! How awesome is that? :D

I think I am going to be hooked to this kind of stuff ;)

Many thanks to Magnus Brath for her beautiful reference picture on Flickr

  1. Beautiful colors, Srishti!
I understand your joy at returning to a watercolor approach. These last few days, I have finally been playing with oils...Although I like the vibrant colors, I miss the movement. I think it's back to watercolors tomorrow:-)

Oh Christiane... I totally understand! ((hugs)) I can't describe how good it felt to be back! :D

  3. The colors and style of this painting are very nice. You're so right, there is nothing like watercolor. I tried a few acrylic paintings, and it was nice to be able to correct mistakes or add highlights, but I definitely prefer watercolors.
